Pakatan diverting from Talam issue, claims Tee Yong

your say Geronimo: If we continue to accuse MCA chief Dr Chua Soi Lek for his sexual escapades, junior will say that Pakatan Rakyat is diverting its attention from the Talam issue.

If we continue to accuse former Selangor MB Dr Mohd Khir Toyo for his palace, junior will say that Pakatan is diverting its attention from the Talam issue.

If Pakatan accuses the BN for temple demolitions, junior will say that Pakatan is diverting its attention from the Talam issue.

If Pakatan harps on the recent issue involving Jessie Ooi, junior will say that Pakatan is diverting its attention from the Talam issue.

If Pakatan query him why there was no white paper on the National Feedlot Corporation scandal since the cows come under his ministry, junior will say that Pakatan is diverting its attention from the Talam issue.

Is this the one and only excuse he has just to get out of a fix? This guy is so obsessed with the Talam case that he eats, drinks, sleeps, etc, Talam, when there are more important tasks for him to handle.

Mirror On The Wall: The sins of the fathers are visited upon the sons, so goes a proverb.

In the case of MCA young professionals bureau head Chua Tee Yong, he is doing his utmost to purge himself of his father's folly by diverting attention away with red herrings all over the place.

By accusing others of diversion, he hopes the diversions he has created will be forgotten. This could work in the old days when the mainstream media was the only source of news.

The only way you'll get any sympathy is to distance yourself from all connections with your father's party and people.

Mmm: Tee Yong, no one is deflecting from the Talam issue. If anything, your intention is not to address the issue, but to gain cheap publicity. No Malaysian is so naive or ignorant to take your bait.

Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua has countered your allegations with facts and figures and he was even willing to take you on at a debate to clear the air, but you backed out, citing that you would prefer to take on the menteri besar himself (which I think is just an excuse to conceal your cowardice to face up to Pua).

And mind you, Pua is an Oxford graduate if you do not already know.

The Talam case is so transparent and yet you keep flogging a dead horse. We don't need elected representatives like you who are ignorant, one-sided and full of talk only.

Orang Jauh: I just cannot believe this guy! All he has to do is keep silent for one minute and reflect: Who created the Talam mess?

Bert: The Pakatan state government did their very best to recover the debts from Talam, whereas BN closed one eye on the issue and the debt was almost written off. Moreover, a White Paper was issued by the state government.

Tee Yong, if you have the guts, look into the many scandals afflicting the former BN state government.

LittleGiant: It is irritating that Tee Yong keeps harping on the Talam issue. Does he think that Malaysians today have no other issues or problems to deal with except Talam?

If he is stupid enough to think that the Talam issue can bring down the Pakatan government in Selangor, then he should know that there are a hundred and one other more serious issues affecting the nation that could prove fatal to the BN government in GE13.

Multi Racial: I do not know about the others, but I get a feeling whenever this junior Chua opens his mouth, his fellow BN politicians would sweat. They probably ask, what is he trying to do?

Does he realise that he is hurting Umno and MCA more? The whole world knows BN screwed the people with the Talam project. He is merely opening a can of worms on Pakatan's behalf to expose BN.

Mushiro: Tee Yong declining to comment on the 24 plots of land means admitting to BN's guilt. There is no way to defend the indefensible.

Quigonbond: His arithmetic remains unsound - the case of Selangor government squeezing a debt settlement out of Talam as against BN raiding Selangor to get cheap land.

Which issue deserves championing? The city folks can answer that. The village folks can answer that. Even schoolchildren anywhere can answer that. Only he refuses to separate the trees from the woods.

Joker: Tee Yong, there is a fine line between being persistent and being a pest. You have crossed the line by a billion miles and you are now being obnoxious. For the last time, Talam is a non-issue.

Fair Play: He got involved in politics courtesy of his father due to his indiscretion. But Tee Yong really learnt fast and exhibited two 'outstanding' traits.

First, a tunnel vision approach, focusing on Talam which is really a non-issue. Otherwise why has no action been taken?

Second, and more importantly, he has mastered the art of apple polishing by skirting issues on scandals involving his political masters.

Yellow Bird: Well, at least the Selangor government was doing something right, even though it is less than ideal. Why don't you speak up against something that is obviously wrong?

Pemerhati: These revelations and controversy between BN and Pakatan Rakyat beautifully illustrates the benefit the rakyat will get in having a strong two-party system.

One party will keep an eye on the other party and quickly expose any perceived or actual wrongdoing by the other party so as to impress the rakyat and get their votes during the elections.

This will go a long way to ensure that the elected representatives work for the benefit of the electorate and do not indulge in any blatant corruption, theft and criminal activities as the leaders of BN have been doing over the past few decades.

If Malaysians are smart enough to realise this and establish a two-party system by voting Pakatan into power in the next elections, then this country is likely to have a very bright future.
