The halal analytical laboratory of the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) which is being built in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, will strengthen the role played by the department in issuing the 'halal certificate', said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Jamil Khir Baharom.
