The personal assistant of Kapar MP, S Manikavasagam, was found dead in front of the guard house of Sri Sinar Apartment in Sunway Kayangan, Shah Alam today.

KS Natchymuthu, 53, whose body was found at about 8.15am by apartment residents, was believed to have been attacked with a sharp object after being involved in a quarrel with a man who is also a resident there.  

Shah Alam CID chief DSP Muhammad Idzham Jaafar said initial investigations found the victim, who was the apartment’s resident association chairperson, was arguing with the suspect who was not satisfied with the management system of the building.

“The suspect was believed to have attacked the victim with a sharp gardening tool causing the victim to be seriously injured in the head and back,” he told Bernama.

Muhammad Idzham said police had detained a 43-year-old man to assist in the investigation.

He said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Natchymuthu’s body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang.

Meanwhile, Manikavasagam, when contacted, said the victim, who was also his driver, had just been appointed chairperson of the residents’ association of the apartment.

He claimed that Natchymuthu had made several police reports earlier following threats from dissatisfied individuals on the collection of maintenance fees for the condominium.

“I hope police will take appropriate action in the case and I sympathised with the victim’s family over the incident,” he said, adding that Natchymuthu left behind a wife and four children.
