Yet another superficial probe by MACC?
VOXPOP ‘The officers were there to record statements from the parents of the hapless Orang Asli kids, or were they there to intimate the simple folk by their presence?'
MACC jumps into Orang Asli slapping case
Bamboo:
From the track record of the of MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission), this looks more like an attempt to intimidate the Orang Asli parents.
Hopefully the parents will withdraw the police report and MACC needn't do much to help their fellow government servants - those teachers who allegedly made the attempted bribery.
Not Confused: At last, the MACC has got off its rear end and started to do something.
The teachers are just like many other civil servants. Always doing the bidding of the BN regime and not concerned that their actions in attempting to bribe the rakyat will be subjected to any kind of investigation.
This is pretty standard practice in most areas within the civil service. The MACC are only making superficial investigations. The whole matter will not doubt be swept under the carpet as usual.
The parents should not let the subject drop but keep up the pressure on the errant teachers and the education authority.
Anonymous_3e06: The ‘heroes' are back in action. It is amazing how they have step in. They have got the approval from the right people. Well, we will wait and the nation will wait.
Boiling Mud: The officers were there to record statements from the parents of the hapless Orang Asli kids, or were they there to intimate the simple folk by their presence?

Cop in Kugan case tells of meeting to identify scapegoat
Gerard Lourdesamy : The police are a law unto themselves in Malaysia. They have a proven track record of being "trigger happy" and are of the lowest professional standards and integrity.
The evidence of corruption and misuse of power is so overwhelming in the force that the public have little or no faith in the police preserving law and order.
Vijay47: Deputy inspector-general of police (DIGP) Khalid Abu Bakar must be the most laid-back police officer, not only in Malaysia but perhaps in the whole world.
A suspect had died in police custody and Khalid is not in the least bothered about the progress of the enquiries into the death.
He does not know anything about the investigation ordered by the Subang Jaya OCPD and is totally in the dark about the outcome of the probe carried out by one SAC Shatar.
And for this level of brilliant competency, Khalid gets promoted to the post of DIGP. At this rate, he can expect to be soon made prime minister.
Changeagent: Khalid, nine officers were involved in A Kugan's interrogation. If one officer was beating the victim to death, what were the other eight doing then?
Kit Siang 'apologises' to Najib over DAP polls result
Anonyxyz: DAP leaders Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng and Karpal Singh must apologise to BN for the DAP election results and not being able to control the democratic choice of the delegates.
They must take ownership for winning the three highest spots and that no Malay leaders were elected. They must now correct the wrong choices of delegates and benchmark them with Umno, like not appointing the Umno Youth's choice of Khairy Jamaluddin to deputy minister and putting Mukhriz Mahathir there instead.
The wisdom of Dr Mahathir Mohamad must be followed - that the majority decision is not always correct and can lead to chaos and violence. We must practise Malaysian democracy, which is superior to the global standard.
Lumo: How can one expects PM Najib Razak to declare that any handover of power at Putrajaya will be done peacefully and democratically when all he has wanted is that BN must retain control at all cost?
Hermit: Internationally, Najib has earned as a false democrat sharing the same club with Serbia's Slobodan Milosevic and Egypt's Hosni Mubarak.
At home, he is a celebrity who does not stick to his words. His songs, ‘Malaysia the World's Best Democracy' and ‘Rakyat Didahulukan' have all died in rhythm.
He sacrileges the sanctity of the mosque by taking an oath that he knows nothing about the Mongolian beauty who was murdered by his bodyguards. His Umno warlord has ridiculed him as a general without soldiers.
Born with a silver spoon, he is known to get everything on a silver platter. He is shy, timid and deficient when challenged to a debate.
He prefers to become like a mouse hiding in the sewer when challenged by carpet trader Deepak Jaikishan about his link to Altantuya Shaariibuu.
