BN may have its imperfections but it merits support because it has inclusive policies unlike those who segregate the sexes, said MCA chief Chua Soi Lek.

Chua, in his Christmas message today, said PAS-led Kelantan’s controversial unisex hair salon policies was a case in point.

“We should reject and shun those that thrive on segregating the people with policies of absurdity.

“For all its imperfections, at least BN does deliver and adopts an inclusive policy,” he said.

“It is important that the way of life of the people is not jeopardised or forcibly altered to appease ultra-extremist groups.”

Chua said the people should instead renew their faith in Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak as he would safeguard their lives.

“Let us reinforce our hopes for continuity under Najib’s leadership to overcome the politics of hate, segregation, divisiveness, extremism and fanaticism,” said Chua.

Chua called for Malaysians to give their “blessings” to the BN government for better standard of living, citing the rising rate of poverty in the US as compared to Malaysia.

“Let us begin the New Year with the continuity of progress and political stability that is free from saboteurs who have only one thing in mind.

“They want to see the country’s economy falter and the nation stricken with chaos and uncertainty so that they can forcibly grab power,” he said.

“The journey that we take in the next few months is most crucial in shaping the future direction of the nation.”
