The number of flood victims in Terengganu at 9.30pm has risen to 1,301 compared to 975 victims at 6pm.

The state government flood portal said 30 flood relief centres have been opened compared to the 21 earlier.

Setiu district has the most with 12 centres, Hulu Terengganu (7); Dungun (5); Besut (2); Marang (2) and Kuala Terengganu (1).

Setiu also has the most victims with 461 followed by Dungun (317), Hulu Terengganu (154), Besut (101),Marang (171), and Kuala Terenggganu (91).

Over at neighbouring Kelantan, the number of evacuees has risen to 857 at 9pm compared to 102 in the afternoon.

The state government flood portal said Tanah Merah district has 119 victims, Pasir Mas (116), Kota Baharu (206), Kuala Krai (354), Pasir Puteh (58) and Machang (4).

Sungai Golok has breached the danger level while the other rivers have breached the warning level.
