The DAP will celebrate the new year with the official launch of the full version of ‘Ubah Rocket Style' parody video in four languages at its free-admission party scheduled for Jan 1, 2013, at 8pm at the Kuala Lumpur Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall.

Ubah style Party publicity secretary Tony Pua said that the launch of the videos, in Malay, English, Mandarin and Tamil, will be in the cultural context of the respective languages

He said that there will be extra footage which had been edited out when it was screened during the party's national congress, and the scenes will be slightly different, in tune with the different lyrics.

"Especially the Mandarin version, because its lyrics had been altered more," Pua told Malaysiakini when contacted yesterday.

DAP first presented the video , parodying the popular ‘Oppa Gangnam Style' music video, during the party's national congress two weeks ago, poking fun at the BN.

Ubah style The star of the song dubbed ‘Ubah Rocket Style' was DAP's mascot hornbill Ubah.

The Petaling Jaya Utara MP said that there will be a live dance performance.

Besides party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, DAP Socialist Youth chief Teo Kok Seong and PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar will also address the audience that night.

Pua added that there will be a lucky draw and the winner will enjoy the honour of lunching with DAP top leaders.
