Beruas MP Ngeh Koo Ham said the Perak BN government could still cancel in giving the approval to five plots of land in the state, which he claims are given to BN cronies.

NONE Ngeh ( left ), said the statutory approvals (Form 5A National Land Code) for the five lands have not been issued and premiums not yet paid.

“The approvals can still be canceled without any adverse consequences to the state government,” said Ngeh, who is also Sitiawan assemblyperson, said in a statement today.

“I call on the BN to cancel the approvals and have them offered for development through open tender. Some areas of the lands mentioned must be reserved for the building of public amenities which will be required in future.”

The five land deals exposed by Ngeh during the Perak assembly seating that he alleges had been made to BN cronies are:

  • 6ha of prime land in Mukim Lumut;
  • 12.8ha of prime land in Mukim Kamunting;
  • 59.136ha in Mukim Lumut;
  • 23.2ha in Bandar Lumut; and
  • 16ha in Perak Tengah (Sri Iskandar).

Claiming Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir had avoided answering this allegation in the Perak state assembly, Ngeh said the BN government owes the people an explanation on why they were approved to companies said to be backed by BN cronies.

“I challenge the BN leadership to support my call (to cancel the land approval) and it to be re-awarded through open tender. If not, we know they are mere hypocrites,” he said.

Previously, it was reported that Ngeh questioned why the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is probing him over the forest land in Sungai Relai, Gua Musang land matter, but was not investigating on the cases which he had highlighted in the Perak assembly.

Ngeh said he had lodged a report with the MACC several months back, but claims there has been no action.

Ngeh and his cousin, Nga Kor Ming has denied the allegations on Sungai Relau, saying they had bought the property through open market .
