A member of the audience at a talk show by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), ‘ Bicara Rakyat ’ last night has suggested a closed-door muzakarah to resolve the issue on the ‘Amanat Haji Hadi’ (Abdul Hadi’s Message).

“I suggest that PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, together with several other PAS leaders, and several personalities without political interests, like mufti and Islamic academicians, discuss the matter.

“Through muzakarah (discussion), there is no politicking, but only to discuss the problems of the ummah,” said the spectator, only identified as Fazlan.

The programme, aired on TV1 at 9pm, was conducted by RTM deejay Sayed Munawar Sayed Mustar. The panellists were Jati president Dr Hasan Ali and former PAS activist Taharuddin Yaakob.

Meanwhile, Hassan, met by reporters after the programme, criticised PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu, popularly known as Mat Sabu, for issuing a statement allowing the use of the word ‘Allah’ by non-Muslims.

He said Mat Sabu’s stand on the matter contradicted that of the party’s Syura Council.
