Transport Minister Kong Cho Ha today urged all quarters against making any speculation on a road accident which involved a vehicle belonging to the Road Transport Department (RTD) and nine other vehicles at Km 12 Jalan Ipoh-Lumut recently.

He advised them to leave the matter to the police.

"The accident involved many vehicles. It is unfair for any parties to speculate on the crash.

"It is better that we wait for the report of the police investigation," he told reporters after attending the Perak MCA 64th anniversary celebration here.

Kong said the ministry had also instructed the Perak RTD to prepare a report on the crash.

The Perak RTD had been given a week to send the report to the ministry, he added.

In the road crash, the RTD four-wheel drive vehicle was turned turtle and set ablaze. Four people were seriously injured and 11 others sustained minor injuries in the accident.
