CNY carnival in Kota Kinabalu to start on Feb 3
The Kota Kinabalu City Council (DBKK) is organising a four-day Chinese New Year Carnival 2013 starting Feb 3 at the Lintasan Deasoka and Jalan Gaya in Kota Kinabalu.
The Kota Kinabalu City Council (DBKK) is organising a four-day Chinese New Year Carnival 2013 starting Feb 3 at the Lintasan Deasoka and Jalan Gaya in Kota Kinabalu.
According to a statement from the DBKK, this eighth carnival organised with cooperation from the Api-Api assemblyperson’s office is scheduled to be officially opened by Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman at 8pm on Feb 3.
Some 600 stalls will be set up on Jalan Gaya from 6pm to 11pm, offering local products, Chinese New Year necessities, food and drinks and more.
Meanwhile, Jalan Gaya and Jalan Bandaran will be closed from 6pm to 11pm, while the parking lot along Jalan Padang will also be closed during the same period.
“The parking lot at Lintasan Deasoka will be inaccessible from Jan 28 to Feb 8, 2013, to facilitate the event,” the statement added.
