Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said the meeting with Lotus Five Star Sdn Bhd scheduled for next week seek to study the issue on the controversial film.
"I know the owner of the film's distribution company. We are looking for a solution to the problem," he told reporters after the Prophet Muhammad birthday celebration for Sembrong parliamentary constituency in Felda Ulu Belitong, near Kluang today.
Hishammuddin reminded all parties, especially BN components and the people to understand the real issue about the film and not be swayed by statements from outsiders to avoid a polemic.
The film 'Vishwaroopam' premiered in the country on Jan 24 but screening was withdrawn the next day following a directive from Home Ministry.
The Tamil film starring Kamal Hassan sparked controversy for allegedly insulting the Muslim community.
