Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad’s (KTMB) Electric Train Service (ETS) would operate 24 hours in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations and the mass exodus expected from Friday to Sunday.

In a statement in Kuala Lumpur today, KTMB said six additional trains would begin operations after the last train in the current schedule ends.

The additional train service involves ETS Silver for two sectors, namely the KL Sentral-Ipoh on 12.05pm, 2.05am and 4.05am and Ipoh-KL Sentral at 11pm, 1am and 3am.

“Passengers could obtain additional train tickets at ticket counters or by booking through the KTMB calling centre (1300-88-5862) beginning today,” said KTMB in a statement.
