The investigation paper on the death of William Yau Zhen Zhong, six, who went missing before his body was found in Port Klang last month, was today sent to the deputy public prosecutor’s office for further action.

Selangor CID chief SAC Mohd Adnan Abdullah said initial police investigations had indicated sudden death.

He said this at a media conference at the Selangor police contingent headquarters in Shah Alam today.

On Jan 16, the victim was reported missing in Jalan Putra Mahkota, Putra Heights, Subang Jaya. Eight days later, he was found dead near the jetty in Sungai Sireh, Port Klang.

In another development, Mohd Adnan said, the police had yet to wrap up investigations into the case of a 22-year-old woman who was killed by a shot fired by a policeman in Taman Sejati, Klang last month.

The policeman was trying to stop a Proton Waja she was travelling in, together with a suspect, in the incident at 7.35pm on Jan 18.

As the vehicle was believed to have hit a police patrol car, the policeman was left with no choice but to use his firearm.

The 31-year-old driver of the Proton Waja, who had six previous criminal cases, was detained to facilitate investigations.
