Today they distributed stickers at Kuala Lumpur Sentral say ‘Kami mahu permit' (We want permits).
Its president Mohammad Ridzwan Mohamad Daud said that they have 5000 stickers for distribution in the Klang Valley.
"By putting up the stickers in taxis, the passengers can understand our demands. We hope that our message could be disseminated widely (to pressure the government)," he said at press conference launching the sticker campaign at Kuala Lumpur Sentral today.
In Oct, Ridzwan threatened to campaign for Pakatan Rakyat should the government not fulfill their demands.
Aside from individual permits, they also requested for action to be taken against foreigners driving licensed taxis.
They also want rental fees waived on Sundays and public holidays.
Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin put up the stickers on the windscreens of the taxis, with their drivers showing strong support for Teksi.
