Guests at Legoland Malaysia have been celebrating the Year of the Snake by joining an attempt to build the world’s longest Lego snake.

“Since the building began at the start of the Chinese New Year (CNY) long weekend, the snake has grown to an impressive 200 metres in length.

“Park visitors have been playing their part in the unprecedented building activity, which runs until Feb 17, (Sunday) at Malaysia’s first international theme park,” it said in a statement.

If building remains on track, it is estimated that the snake will reach more than 300 metres in length and use approximately one million Lego bricks.

Once it is completed, the world’s longest Lego snake will wind its way through the beginning and miniland areas of the 30.8 hectare park.
