BN Youth has launched a massive campaign, including the social media, to counter Pakatan Rakyat's propaganda ahead of the looming polls.

gempak anti opposition lying poster 150312 khairy wee ka siong The issues raised during the campaign will include PKR vice-president Tian Chua's doctored photo of Premier Najib Abdul Razak supposedly having a meal with slain Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu and his personal friend Abdul Razak Baginda.

The authorities, including the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission had investigated Chua over the 2007 photo.

During the launch of the ‘Gerakan Menolak Penipuan Pembangkang' (Gempak) campaign yesterday evening, BN Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin accused the opposition coalition of practising a culture of "slander and lies".

gempak anti opposition lying poster 150312 khairy Other "false information" manufactured by Pakatan, he alleged, includes PKR veep N Surendran's claims that there are 300,000 stateless Indians in Malaysia.

"We believe that the campaign materials of PAS, PKR and DAP will contain slanderous and negative propaganda to provoke hatred for  the BN," Khairy told media during the launch of Gempak in Kuala Lumpur.

"We are worried that opposition will promote such propaganda (in the coming elections)."

No comment on 'Tanda Putera'

Khairy said that the campaign is aimed at reminding people that the opposition has a history of slandering others in order to gain publicity.

As such, he said BN Youth would mobilise its members to counter Pakatan's statements through flyers, posters, and on Facebook and Twitter.

NONE Meanwhile, when asked whether he agreed with former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad's proposal that the controversial filem ‘Tanda Putera' should bescreened  publicly , Khairy declined to comment on the matter.

He also refused to respond to the issue of whether Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin should disclose evidence of the opposition's alleged plan to create disorder to disrupt the upcoming general election.
