Rosmah Mansor has denied ever acting as the nation’s sixth prime minister, seeking to usurp the position currently held by her husband Najib Abdul Razak.

In her newly-launched biography, the PM’s wife stated that when the accusation first cropped up, she assured Najib that she had no designs on his post.

NONE "I just want to be the wife of Najib Razak. If he were a ordinary man, I would still be with him," she was quoted in the book.

Rosmah claimed such a misconception against her was born of jealousy and the desire of someone to be the "number one leader".

“Those who hold this shallow view should research history and the federal constitution.

“How can I be prime minister when I am not a member of Parliament. I am just a regular Umno member. No power whatsoever,” she stated in the book.

Rosmah said that despite being the premier's wife, she does not enjoy any immunity.

"Maybe a lot of people don't know that I was questioned in Bukit Aman for six hours over a slanderous accusation," she revealed.

NONE Rosmah said that she was a soft target for her husband's opponents.

"Since they can't get the husband, they attack the wife because I can't defend myself," she said.

She said that there is a possibility that God is testing her ability to handle her position.

"Maybe God wants to test me. Maybe God wants to grant me something bigger and thus needs to test me first," she said.

Rosmah said that she was answering allegations now through her book because she realised it was a mistake not to do so earlier.

She said that she does not have any officers that could have acted as her spokesperson.
