Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ) councillor S Supiramany had allegedly received a live bullet in an envelope with no address.

Supiramany said the envelope, which was slipped under the door in his office at Menara MPAJ, was received by his clerk at about 9.30am, at his office.

He said upon receiving the letter, the clerk gave it to another worker in the office.

“At about 11am the worker who opened the envelope was shocked to find a live bullet inside the envelope,” he said when contacted by Bernama .

Supiramany said he was informed of the incident while at a private medical centre in Bangsar, to undergo a medical check-up.

“When I was informed of the incident, I quickly rushed to the office and found a live bullet inside an envelope,” he said.

He said the motive for such an act was not clear and would allow the police to carry out investigations as a police report was made at the Kampung Cheras Baru police station at 3.30pm today.
