A local leader in Lahad Datu has issued a challenge to opposition leaders, including PKR adviser Anwar Ibrahim and DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang to stand as candidates in Sabah in the coming general election.

Silam Member of Parliament Salleh Kalbi said, he made the challenge based on alleged claims by opposition leaders that the terrorist intrusion in Kampung Tanduo was a drama staged by the BN-led government.

"Voters here, including the Chinese community and non-Muslims, are fully behind the present government. Let's see if the opposition dares (to take up the challenge)," he told Bernama today.
