Indian Progressive Party (IPF) has opened 118 election operations centres throughout the country to assist the Barisan Nasional (BN) during the 13th general election.

Its president M Sambanthan said IPF would mobilise its more than 80,000 members to ensure a big win for BN and a bright future for the Indian community in the country.

He said IPF had lobbied for a state or parliament seat in the 13th general election.

"But though IPF were not offered any, we will no doubt work hard to ensure a big win for BN," he told reporters after opening IPF's Federal Territory level operations centre at Wisma Tun Sambanthan, KL, today.

Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Deputy Minister M Saravanan was among 400 people who turned up for the opening.
