100 seats for KiniTV fans at GE13 forum

With the general election around the corner, many people are scrambling for sources of reliable information that would help in their decision-making as responsible voters.

CPPS general election forum A forum titled 'What are the three key issues that will determine the outcome of the 13th GE', aimed at helping people make informed decisions, will be held at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur from 7.30pm to 10pm on April 10.

Using the tag line '88 minutes to help you decide the outcome of 13th general election', four young leaders from BN and Pakatan Rakyat will go head-to-head during the three-hour forum.

Umno supreme council member Saifuddin Abdullah and MCA vice-president Gan Ping Sieu will appear for the BN, while DAP election strategist Liew Chin Tong and PAS strategist Mujahid Yusof Rawa will represent Pakatan.

KiniTV to stream session live

KiniTV YouTube Channel The event, organised by the Centre for Public and Policy Studies (CPPS), will be streamed live on new Internet TV provider KiniTV 's YouTube channel ( left ) and homepage .

CPPS operates under the local think tank, Asian Strategic and Leadership Institute (Asli). Video sharing site YouTube and KiniTV are the official platform partners for the forum.

It will feature opening remarks from the panellists, seven questions from the audience to be answered by both sides, and a concluding statement by the speakers.

A total of 350 people are expected to attend, of which 100 seats will be reserved for 50 supporters from each side of the political divide.

Members of the public must register at the CPPS website to reserve their seats, they can also email [email protected] or call 03-20932820.

NONE KiniTV fans will be allocated 100 seats on a first-come first-served basis. This is to encourage viewers a participatory experience in the pressing issues of this general election.

KiniTV has received robust response from viewers in its first month, hitting 3.3 million views in March ( right ).

Launched on March 17, KiniTV has recorded 144,813 unique visitors and more than 412,578 page views as of today, April 5.

It aims to be the No 1 Election channel on GE13 issues and will bring viewers up-to-date with flash reports in and around the country.
