Racists can enter Lumut base, heroes barred

Ex-admiral barred from Lumut naval base
Anonymous #25558299:
Denying entry into the naval base itself is a good point for Pakatan Rakyat as the people/navy men know how scared and panicky BN is.
(PKR candidate for Lumut) Admiral Mohamad Imran Abdul Hamid, don't give up. These BN leaders are all out to ambush opposition ceramahs by misusing civil servants and paid hooligans.
Anonymous_3f94: Former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad can get clearance to make a political speech with compulsory attendance of all navy staff, but an ex-admiral who stands as opposition candidate cannot even gain entry.
What rubbish. BN's insincerity shows all the way. If they get elected again, God help this country.
Tehachapi: This is utter contempt for people who have devoted their lives to the service of country and Agong. How dishonourable is this snub to one of our most distinguished sons.
Where is honesty and respect? This hit below the belt is only possible with Umno in power. What is wrong with an open forum to talk about national issues?
Are they thinking that just because these security personnel receive salaries from public funds, they are now slaves to Umno?
God forbid this kind of mindset. No wonder, the Umno government pays little attention to the people's problems.
Hacks: Scoundrels can go in and give a speech but heroes can't. It's confirmed that this country has become a pirate's country.
Onyourtoes: See the baloney here - the Navy allowed a has-been politician known for his depravity to address the personnel while an opponent was not even allowed to enter the base.
Abuse of power has become so entrenched that they can't see the pain of injustice and unfairness inflicted on others.
BN, you can go on doing this and I can assure you that even neutral voters will be swayed to vote for Pakatan. You see, I don't even know this First Admiral (Rtd) Mohamad Imran, but now I am sympathetic towards him already.
Cala: The Navy may be able to shut its door and thereby preventing Mohamad Imran from campaigning face-to-face.
Not to despair, the Navy cannot stop the SMSes, tweets, whatsapp, and what have you from getting to its personnel.
Newton's Third Law of Motion states that to every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The Navy can keep trying to go against this law of physics.
Wanderer: This action of Umnoputras is a wake-up call to all military personnel. Your longstanding services and contribution to the nation will not count if you are on the opposite side to Umno.
You will be treated just like food waste, fit to use for animal feed. Those in the Umno-BN regime are ungrateful leaders and perpetual liars who care only for themselves.
Better My: If the policies of the naval base are that no one wear their political colours before entering, these are fair, as long as they apply to all, no matter how many years one has served the Navy.
Whatever terms apply to Umno politicking as in the case done by Mahathir on Tuesday at the naval base, the same opportunities must be given to the opposition.
Gen Half Track: Admiral, was there a need to wear a party shirt? Why do you give them the excuse to deny you entry?
Clongviews: You and your team should try to get into the base by wearing civvy (civilian) clothes and see what happens.
After all, they know you are from PKR and you need to shake their hands, say hello to them and they will get your message. Do it sir, you have nothing to lose.
Shanandoah: Malays understand justice but Umno doesn't - the highest ranking naval officer has been denied entry into the Lumut base because of politics.
Somebody is afraid, really afraid. Guess who? Yes, you are right. The armed forces and police are giving up on Umno slowly but surely.
Multi Racial: Caretaker Transport Minister Kong Cho Ha helped Umno and MCA to cover up the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal after former transport minister Ong Tee Kiat tried to expose it.
This man doesn't have integrity and credibility. Chinese Malaysians are ashamed to have him in the cabinet. So please get rid of him and vote for Mohamad Imran.
Ramachandran Muniandy: Former Indonesian president Suharto's power lay with the Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Indonesia (ABRI) as he was the commander-in-chief.
In the last days of his government, when the students were demonstrating by occupying the road that leads to Suharto's palace, he ordered his generals to take drastic action against them, but the members of ABRI instead joined the students and ignored Suharto's order.
So admiral, don't worry, if you are popular with your men, Mahathir can address hundreds of them, but they will still support you.
