KEDAH Kedah PAS has issued a two-pronged attack against BN - calling caretaker deputy PM Muhyiddin Yassin “a liar” for stating the state has failed to attract any investments, and chastising the relevant caretaker deputy minister, Mukhriz Mahathir, for keeping silent.
State caretaker exco Amiruddin Hamzah (

“But (Muhyiddin) said there were no investments. It this a lie or not a lie? A lie!” he said to some 250 people last night, that had gathered at a ceramah in Alor Merah, located in the Anak Bukit state constituency.
Amiruddin, who is also Anak Bukit candidate, said investments in Kedah was around RM1.2 billion a year during BN’s reign there, the that figured has leapfrogged to RM3.2 billion annually under PAS.
The best figure, according to him, was recorded in 2011 with the injection of RM6.14 billion in investments, providing up to 8,000 job opportunities.
He also cited the state’s construction of the Tunku Yaakob complex, which he claimed BN had failed to complete for over 30 years, despite even a change in menteri besar.
He also trained his guns on Mukhriz (

“(Mukhriz said) I am proud to be anak Kedah (Kedah-born). But when people utter false facts, rise and correct it. But he did not correct it,” Amiruddin said.
During a speech in Jerlun last Tuesday, Muhyiddin had belittled the PAS administration of the state, saying there has been no development there.
In fact, he awarded Pakatan Rakyat a “ E minus ” grade, saying its performance report card for Kedah failed to impressed.
