Banners depicting a group of Orang Asli from Kampung Chang near Bidor supporting BN have been put up in Orang Asli settlements despite claims by villagers that they did not consent to their photographs being used.

NONE Jaringan Kampung Orang Asli Semenanjung Malaysia secretary Tijah Yok Chopil ( right ) said the banners had not been removed despite them lodging a police report last week and holding a press conference urging those responsible to take them down.

"I had to remove the banners myself with the help of other Orang Asli villagers," said Tijah.

She said she did not approve the use of her photographs by BN in their campaign and lodged a police report in Bidor on April 22.

Tijah has been seen campaigning for the Orang Asli to support Chenderiang PKR candidate Amani Wiiliams-Hunt Abdullah @ Bah Tony and has been speaking at ceramah in the Pos Woh orang asli village.

She said this was the first and only time an Orang Asli was a candidate.

She also said it was wrong for Chenderiang BN candidate Mah Hang Soon to allege that Bah Tony is not an Orang Asli and asked voters not to vote for a non-Orang Asli candidate.

"Bah Tony's mother is an Orang Asli and there is no reason why he cannot contest,'' she said.
