Saiful's father retracts apology, 'leaves' PKR

your say Ferdtan: This is like the late private eye P Balasubramaniam's second sodomy statutory declaration turnaround.

We know who are the people involved who made the father of Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan to retract his voluntary statement that he and his son were used by the officers in the PM's Department to implicate Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim in the sodomy charges.

The guilty party/parties who made Azlan Mohd Lazim change his mind must have the current on-going general election in mind - desperate enough as Pakatan is gaining momentum in capturing Putrajaya. We want to tell these people whoever they are, don't waste your money on him.

The damage done by Azlan Lazim against caretaker prime minister Najib Razak in making the public apology to Anwar in front of a crowd of 5,000 in Sungai Petani, Kedah on March 24 is irreversible. Anwar had benefitted (and continue to do so) from the apology. Nothing changes from the reversal. It is too late and too little (credibility that is).

Malaysians know that money is a good motivator for a person's indiscretion. Azlan must be laughing all the way to the bank.

LittleGiant: Azlan has now retracted his apology to Anwar and has apologised to his family for his 'wayward actions'. This is actually good for Pakatan.

Come May 5, Malaysians will show if they were impressed with Azlan's 'story'. After the elections, BN would know where it stands with its 'wayward actions'.

Bender: How can this man show his face to the public? Who's going to believe him with anything he has to say now?

Right from the beginning when Azlan came out with a smug face and apologised, I was already suspicious of his sincerity and I believe many others felt the same way as well.

Anwar himself was very cautious of his action then. Now we know. Come to think of it, how many of this species are in Pakatan who are going to wreak havoc after the big win this Sunday?

Tenfour: As expected, we smelled rats the moment the news broke that Saiful's father was joining PKR, I remembered reading the comments posted in Malaysiakini , many readers also suspected something fishy was going on at that time.

PKR, take note, do not trust someone easily. There are far too many moles and back-stabbers in your party as shown by the many examples - the likes of Zulkifli Noordin, Zahrain Hashim and too many others to mention.

Swipenter: One thing about Anwar is that he has to choose his advisers/friends with this eyes wide open. If he becomes PM, his inner circle of advisers must be dependable, capable and loyal, otherwise he is going to face many huge problems.

Yap CS: This is not 'Like father, like son'. It's 'Like son, like father!' Both are spies and saboteurs sent to infiltrate PKR and try to bring it down.

Onyourtoes: Saiful senior, with your retraction now I believe there was conspiracy against Anwar. Before that, I was 50-50.

From my estimate, I think you have collected two rounds. More will come your way, don't worry. I did not praise you when you first apologised to Anwar. I only said why you came forward and not your son. I can smell it.

Real Truth: We suspected that something was wrong when Azlan apologised to Anwar and joined PKR. Perhaps he was planted by BN to get information that could help BN.

Which father would willingly come over and say such things knowing that his son had even sworn on the Holy Quran. Which father even if he knows his son is wrong, would have publicly declared so. This shows how morality can be bought for the right price.

Basi: PKR, get on with the election campaign and don't be distracted by such fickle people without guts and honour. Learn a good lesson, don't associate with dishonourable people from the opposite camp.

There are lots of good people who would like to support PKR if only you can move away from picking up rubbish people with ill-intentions.

Relak Aje: Firstly, Azlan said that he had come forward (to apologise to Anwar) "after confirming the information and asking for divine guidance".

Now he has come out with another statement and retracted his apology to Anwar "after asking God for guidance". Huh?

He will have a lot to answer when come his time to stand before God. It would be good for Anwar to just forgive this sad case of a man.

Amalgam: The world is full of stooges - and every man has a price - so for the right one, he says this and for the next better one, he says that.

But each of us have been given the ability to judge and to form our own opinion and we know how to differentiate between right and wrong. Sad for those who choose to believe what the government-controlled media writes - they too are bought by those Umno rich guys.

Up2U: It has always been about money and these people go around and seek the highest bidder. In Azlan's case, he was probably using PKR and Anwar to obtain a higher pay offer from Umno-BN and the timing is so well planned.

It will probably affect the targeted rural Malays. He refer to divine guidance from God and it is statements like this that give God a bad name. Azlan, please do not claimed to be a God-fearing man when you obviously are not.

Milosevic: I think it would be really fun if Azlan did one last flip-flop. Please Azlan, since the soul is being damaged by the politics becoming very nasty, and suffering from the constant bombardment of lies and and electoral malpractices, we need some hilarious drama.
