YOURSAY 'Come Sunday, let Malaysians bravely determine the fate of their beloved country and give the future generations a brighter future.'

Come Sunday, don't bow to threats and coercion

your say Allforchange: P Gunasegaram, you have given sound advice. A principled person would not waver no matter how difficult it gets. I remember one scene from ‘Gandhi' - the movie made by Richard Attenborough.

It shows a British officer inviting Gandhi for a talk and sent a car to fetch him. The driver returned without Gandhi. The British officer asked the driver where Gandhi was. He replied that Gandhi preferred to walk - and one long walk that was. The British officer sighed, "God, please give me patience."

Principles mean standing one's ground regardless whether it is dana (gift) or bedha (threat) that is dangled before one.

We have seen dana and bedha being dangled before the voters. It is time the regime that brought this nation to near destruction is given dandhopaya (punishment) on May 5.

Ksn: That great man, Mahatma, also said, and I recall from the same movie as well as his writings ‘My Experiments with Truth' about his life in South Africa: I am prepared to die for a cause, but I am not prepared to kill for any cause.

That thought alone has much for humanity to learn from, to follow, and to adopt in life. I pray Malaysians adopt the same approach to life for the future of our beloved country.

Anonymous #14329559 : BN's propaganda is working to some extent. The elderly who have no other sources of news are reading only the newspapers.

I know of one uncle who has always been a DAP supporter but this election he is voting BN - for stability. Those were his exact words.

It is not enough that we know better. We need to spread the word and do our part. It is really time to change and not subject ourselves to their lies over and over again.

Pahatian: If you lie to people who do not know better, then you have done a good con job. But if you lie to people who already know the truth, then you have made yourself look stupid.

Top of the list is former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad followed by his successor Najib Razak. And you will definitely know who the rest are. Kick them out once and for all.

Shown: It is not so much that threats or coercion will decide on the outcome of this crucial election.

It is the acts of treason and cheating by the Election Commission and BN that allow non-nationals, phantom voters, double agents and crooked election officials to decide the future of this country. He who controls the ballot box wins.

TehTarik: Maybe it is time for the Pakatan leadership, together with Bersih, to have an emergency meeting with the ambassadors and high commissioners of all countries.

This is to show them evidence of the gross cheating and fraud that is taking place in GE13.

Ano1nymous: Good piece, Guna. But Pakatan supporters are equally bad and gangsterish and also have their own spin doctors and cybertroopers to unfairly destroy the credibility of others.

Pakatan people are also fond of repeating lies. There is no difference between the two, if you ask me.

Jin Lama: Malaysians have already made up their minds. Rest assured the threats will not deter them from doing the right thing as the Malaysians in Melbourne have shown.

The little known postal vote exit survey clearly shows that an overwhelming majority of them gave their votes to Pakatan parties. Many faced obstacles just to vote, and are not happy with the voting process there.

Boiling Mud : Come Sunday, let the Malaysians cast their vote to free themselves from oppression and fear.

Come Sunday, let Malaysians steer the country out of the course of doom.

Come Sunday, let the Malaysians bravely determine the fate of their beloved country and give all Malaysian children and future generations a brighter future.

We owe them that. Come Sunday, let's all come out to vote.

See3: My mind's been made up a long time ago. We just have to boot out an incompetent, evil and corrupt regime that's has overstayed its welcome.

Besides, do we really want to see a Mahathir, Najib, Muhyiddin Yassin or Hishammuddin Hussein dictating or lording over us ever again? Never!

CV PRA: Come Sunday, my darling Malaysia comes under the knife for a major bypass. Let us all pray and do our part for the surgery to be a success.

Let us give a helping hand to Pakatan leader Anwar Ibrahim to nurse Malaysia back to health.

Finallychangeisgoingtocome: Come Sunday just get up, get your IC (identity card) and go to your polling station and cast your vote. This is not a request, this a demand from the rakyat.

Anonymous_40dc: In their effort to cling to power, they are willing to use any means possible. The choice is crystal clear.

Do we want to continue to be dominated or do we want to liberate ourselves? We have not been this close. Ini kalilah , or else we will be trampled on for another five years.

MockingYou: Rakyat, this is your chance to stand up and be counted, not kneeling in submission to the political parties.
