Inspector-general of police Ismail Omar in confirming the incident at a press conference at the Federal Police (Bukit Aman) in Kuala Lumpur, said Hishammuddin, his wife, daughter and son-in-law were the passengers in the helicopter hired from a private company.
“Hishammuddin was returning to Kuala Lumpur after voting in Johor (in today’s general election,” he said but declined to elaborate further.
He added that the flight crew were also unhurt.
Hishammuddin, who is also the Barisan Nasional’s incumbent for the Sembrong parliamentary seat, is in straight fight with Onn Abu Bakar of PKR.
