No dubious voters in electoral roll, reiterates EC

I also see many similar incidents happening in different part of the country, on postings in Facebook and online news reports.

What the EC means is this is not a Malaysian election but an international election where all are welcome to vote whether you are Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Indonesian, Filipino, African, Burmese, Portuguese or Brazilian. All you need is to just get your IC from the National Registration Department (NRD) and you can vote.

Kim Quek : Actually the den of crooks are in the National Registration Department (NRD), which illegally issued MyKads to unqualified foreigners. Once these MyKads are issued, the EC registers them as voters.

So, Aziz is only correct in saying that these names under question are those provided by NRD, but he is incorrect to claim that they are citizens, as clearly they are not.

Unfortunately, we can only clear up this mess when Pakatan comes to power. For the time being, what we can do is to physically intervene to deter as many of these phantoms as possible from voting.

Swipenter: These ‘Project IC citizens' are thumbing their noses at Malaysians by voting and there is not one thing we can do to stop them. Even the EC says that a foreigner with a MyKad and has his name in the electoral roll can vote.

UBAH GE13 : Cheats. Who said there are no dubious voters? I voted in the morning in Bukit Antarabangsa and there were five Indonesians caught trying to vote and somehow two managed to get in to vote. What have you got to say about that?

Lokaikai: What bull - in Dungun, Terengganu, two Burmese entering Malaysia just two days ago were caught casting their vote and possessing fake ICs. It is alleged that they were paid RM1,500 to do the dirty job. Abdul Aziz, you will have to face the judge after this!

Jedi_Who: Everybody knows our EC and the NRD are in collusion. So all the phantom voters appear to be citizens. Indonesians look so much like Malays and as long as they don't speak, one can easily pass off as a citizen.

Quigonbond: The EC chief cannot speak on behalf of the NRD. If an IC has been given out unlawfully, those ‘citizens' can still register as voters and the EC has no choice but to accept them as voters. The EC does not have the power to determine whether they deserve the IC or not.

What I am particularly angry with the EC for is failing to implement a simple thing called indelible ink. His deputy stands to be blamed, for the idiot claimed to have tested the ink several times.

Why is it then that he did not discover that the ink can come off with soap, dish washing liquid, Dettol or Clorox?

Anonymous-BP: The EC chief is an idiot; the indelible ink he ordered is of poor quality as it can be shown to be able to wash off with ease. He should be the first to be charged for fraud and dishonesty should Pakatan takes over.

Angry Citizen: The EC is another BN mouthpiece, I know at least 10 people who managed to wash off the indelible ink with one wash using a little dishwashing soap and a bit scrubbing.

If you are really sincere in your reply, then you should demand the supplier to return the tax payers' money that they have taken, or sue them. I am sure you can't do that cause one of your Umno cronies was probably the supplier...

Songsar: Aziz, you are a bloody shame to your family, race, and country. How much are you charging the government for the ink this time, RM5 million? For something worth nothing? If there is ever a change of government, the new attorney general would surely charge you with treason, take away your tan sri tile and jail you for life.

Clever Voter: This is disgraceful. Citizenship is priceless, but here it is used as a ticket to vote BN into power. Abdul Aziz has sold the country down the drain. The people are deprived of the opportunity to choose a government they deserve. We often wonder how these crooked people sleep every night. I suppose they don't care, and we need to find ways to get rid of them.

Finallychangeisgoingtocome: The reasons and comments given by the EC are all dubious and laughable, and yet the people can do nothing, I mean absolutely nothing. This is a broken country, truly, and now it is all going south. Change is now looking like it will be not this time or ever for Malaysia.

And with only one hour left to vote before closing, on top of the rain, Malaysians in their typical attitude will stay in the comfort of their homes and let their maids vote.

What a lost opportunity. There are tears in my eyes and sadness in my heart filled with anger, and there is nothing, absolutely nothing I can do about the blatant cheats.

LonewolfX: As a Malaysian, I demand you immediately resign from the position of EC chief for failing to carry out your duties.

Mengxiang: So long as we have people like Abdul Aziz as the election commissioner, this country can never hope to have free and fair elections. What a spineless coward.
