Adnan takes oath as Pahang MB for fourth term

The ceremony took place at Istana Sultan Abu Bakar in Pekan at 5pm.
Adnan, 63, who is also Pahang Umno chairperson, was reappointed as the menteri besar after leading the BN in winning 30 out of 42 state seats contested in the 13th general election last Sunday.
He was first appointed menteri besar of Pahang on May 25, 1999, taking over from Mohd Khalil Yaakob who was appointed the information minister then.
Adnan first contested the Pelangai seat, which he retained in Sunday’s general election, in 1986. He was appointed the menteri besar for the second term in 2004 and for the third term in 2008.
He is also the first recipient of the title ‘Datuk Seri Diraja’ from Sultan Ahmad Shah in 2010.
