Unscheduled water disruption in Hulu Langat and KL
A total of 189,475 consumers involving 37,892 accounts in Hulu Langat and Kuala Lumpur experienced unscheduled water supply disruption, following a damaged pump at the Sungai Langat water treatment plant.
A total of 189,475 consumers involving 37,892 accounts in Hulu Langat and Kuala Lumpur experienced unscheduled water supply disruption, following a damaged pump at the Sungai Langat water treatment plant.
In a statement today, Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said the disruption was due to unusual vibration at the 16MGD raw water pump no 5 at the Sungai Langat water treatment plant operated by Puncak Niaga (M) Sdn Bhd.
“Works to repair the pump are expected to take three days and scheduled to be fully completed by 10pm on Sunday,” it said.
Among the areas affected in Hulu Langat are Taman Balakong Jaya, Taman Puncak Utama, Jade Hill and Taman Sri Timah.
In Kuala Lumpur, the affected areas are Sungai Besi RMAF, Taman Seputeh, KL Sentral, Persiaran Syed Putra, Jalan San Peng and Jalan Chan Sow Lin.
