A "broman-mance" on Twitter between three young Malay political leaders brings hope Malaysia is indeed on the road to progress which will see the end of partisanship.

NONE A conversation between Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein, Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar ( left ) and PKR deputy president Azmin Ali set Twitterjaya abuzz as the three interacted with each other and committed themselves to open dialogues that cross ideological and political lines for the good of the nation.

It started on Saturday with Khairy tweeting the appointment of Mohamad Hasan as Negri Sembilan menteri besar for a second term.

He then tweeted Azmin saying he hoped the PKR deputy president would get his chance one day. Azmin had been embroiled in a tussle over the Selangor menteri besar's post which is said to be going back to Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

Azmin tweeted his support for Abdul Khalid to continue.

"Very gracious of you. Congratulations," Khairy responded.

Azmin then went on to post this message on Khairy's timeline: "Let us (young MPs) initiate new ideas in parliament. Dismantle old politics and embark (on) new policies that is just and fair to all..."

Khairy then responded: "Let's do it. Let's move forward with a spirit of bipartisanship. Enough divisive politics."

NONE At this juncture, Hishammuddin ( right ), the caretaker home minister chipped in tweeting: "Way to go guys. Count me in." Azmin responded their conviction is for a stronger Malaysia.

"Let us move on. We will do it."

While many saw this as a maturing of politics and politicians, the pleasantaries also sounded off alarm in the PKR camp that Azmin was being cosy with two senior Umno leaders.

However, Azmin had reiterated on Friday that he will never cross over despite his issues with the PKR leadership.

"These are rumours created by Umno and BN," he had said.
