Despite calls for action to be taken against PKR deputy president Azmin Ali following his outburst, party secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution considers the matter as resolved following the appointment of Abdul Khalid Ibrahim as the Selangor menteri besar today.

saifuddin nasution jelajah merdeka pkr political violence attack 080313 Saifuddin ( right ) said what was raised by Azmin is an internal party matter and should not be brought up at the Pakatan presidential council meeting.

“It is an internal matter within PKR and we consider (Azmin’s outburst) as resolved with Abdul Khalid taking the oath at the Selangor palace to retain the post of Selangor MB.

“The matter with Azmin need not be brought up at the presidential council meeting as we only discuss on policy matters there. I admit the matter was raised and discussed during the PKR political bureau meeting recently and on that day we have explained the matter based on the issues which had been raised.

"Tomorrow, PKR will also have another political bureau meeting,” he said.

However, despite Saifuddin's benign take on the matter, Balik Pulau PKR Youth today announced to the media that they have already filed a complaint with the party disciplinary board a day after Azmin's outburst, asking for stern action against the party deputy president.

NONE "We felt compelled to express our regret over Azmin's criticism of party president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail ( left ) and alleged nepotism in the party," said its chief Mohd Faizal AB Rahman in a statement.

Mohd Faizal sent the letter dated May 11 to PKR disciplinary board head Tan Kee Kwong.

Several news clippings of reports about Azmin's May 10 press conference where he made the remarks were attached to the letter as well.

Saifuddin, when asked on the matter, replied that he had yet to be referred to the party's disciplinary committee meeting.

"No, this matter was not brought up before the committee chaired by Dr Tan Kee Kwong. I have not seen a copy of the report over this.

"I do not know whether there is, but let us wait for the political bureau committee meeting tomorrow and whether there is such a report placed on my table. Normally, all the reports would be placed on my table," he noted.

It was reported that Azmin had questioned the manner in which the party was selecting the post of the Selangor menteri besar, and he had also queried the purpose of holding rallies nationwide, saying that the party should be concentrating their efforts to gather evidence on the alleged electoral fraud instead.

When contacted by Malaysiakini , Tan said that he has yet to receive any report on Azmin as well.

"No, (I have) not received any report yet," he said.
