The identity of three opposition leaders said to be behind the Lahad Datu armed incursion will not be divulged to avoid prejudice when the case is taken to court, said Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The identity of three opposition leaders said to be behind the Lahad Datu armed incursion will not be divulged to avoid prejudice when the case is taken to court, said Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
He said all documents and detailed information acquired by the police and the Defence Ministry on the trio - two from the peninsula and the other from Sabah - will be submitted to the Attorney-General's Chambers for scrutiny.
Ahmad Zahid was responding yesterday to a call by SAPP president Yong Teck Lee to him to name the trio.
At the height of 'Ops Daulat' to flush out the terrorists, Ahmad Zahid had been quoted as saying that their identity would be disclosed only after the 13th general election, to avoid accusations that the issue would be used for political expediency.
