As usual, nobody will be faulted or made to pay for their mistakes, and the whole process will be repeated again for the next big project.

Overlord: That Hishammuddin Hussein has been "silent as a mouse" over the whole fiasco is expected as he is only acting as a transport minister.

He is waiting to pass this hot yam to the willing scapegoat in the making - MCA. No wonder this ministerial post is being reserved for MCA. Looking at this, Umno is actually not so dumb after all.

Lahat Datu was a straightforward incident but this Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) baby is a real hot potato, with a lot of chefs cooking inside the kitchen cabinet.

Game Changer: When this can is opened, all sorts of worms will crawl out, and I wouldn't be surprised most of them are Umno members and their cronies.

Tony Pua and AirAsia were right to call for an independent investigation. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) should support this call and carry out its duty.

Ordinary Joe: Pua, why ask these tough questions when Hishammuddin has not warmed his seat yet? As AirAsia rightly pointed out, ask where the MAHB went wrong. AirAsia is afraid the finger pointing will eventually be directed at them.

It's best have an independent technical investigation to find who are the incompetent ones in this project. Heads should roll so that the project may be completed.

No reason for Kedah to charge for water: Guan Eng

Pahatian: Many rivers in the world have become natural boundaries for many a nation. And within nations, rivers are also used as state or district boundaries.

Now if a river is used as a boundary between two countries or states, can any party claim absolute authority over its use and resources?

So does the Muda River belong to Penang or Kedah? If Kedah claims that the river is on its side, then Penang has to pay for the water used and vice versa.

But it is accepted internationally that the boundary should be the midpoint of the stream or river. So can Kedah claim exclusive rights to the river and to charge Penang for the use of its water resources?

Wira: The recalcitrant Umno has forgotte - the Muda River boundary between Penang and Kedah used to be on the Kedah side of the Muda River bank.

This means the whole of Muda River once belonged to Penang. It was during Koh Tsu Koon's time as Penang chief minister that Kedah requested and obtained Penang's permission to redraw the boundary to the middle of the river.

Now those ungrateful losers are taking revenge to punish Penang and charge us for water from the portion of the river we gave them.

Louis: Kedah has to divert the Muda River away from Penang. Otherwise, Penang can charge Kedah for allowing the river to flow through its precious land.

Anyway, whatever flows through Penang belongs to Penang and therefore it need not pay for the water.

If what Kedah believe is true, then the governments of Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam will have to pay China for the water drawn from the Mekong which came from China.

Arbeena: There is no need for Penang to pay anything with regard to the use of water originating from Kedah.

This politician from Kedah should know that Turkey and Ethiopia don't ask for any payment for water being used by Iraq (Euphrates and Tigris rivers originating from Turkey) and Egypt (Blue Nile river originating from Ethiopia).

Rennigunda: Soon we will need passports to cross into BN states from Pakatan states. This is the way backwards for Malaysia.

2LAN: Maybe Kedah will next charge Penang for rainfall if it's from clouds which pass through Kedah's air space?

Bluemountains: Kedah to charge Penang for raw water? Is this what Umno-BN means by "Rakyat Didahulukan'?

Since Penang is not under Umno-BN, why not divert the Muda River somewhere else? Just like how they diverted an oil pipeline to Thailand because Kelantan is also not under Umno-BN.

Odin: Deputy Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Mahdzir Khalid, going by your idiotic, uneducated logic, only the entity that makes the water that falls to the ground and forms the Muda River may charge the Penang government.

That entity is God, if you believe one exists, or nature.
