Abasir: Going by what is reported, it appears that the judges have made the case on behalf of the defense while the prosecution contributed some sound effects to give the impression of an appeal. God help Malaysians.

Damntlwbn: What rage or bitterness the murderer(s) must had to carry out such brutal killing of a woman. This circus must be stopped so that all those guilty could be brought to justice. It has gone far too long and too many lives have been robbed in Bolehland.

Cala: Two key persons are not implicated in the murder trial. Abdul Razak Baginda was let off the hook and found not guilty in the earlier trial.

Then DPM Najib Razak's aide de camp Musa Safri was never called to testify in the trial. With that, the link between Altantuya and the alleged prime suspect is broken.

SS Dhaliwal: This was the intention all along - to provide grounds for an acquittal in the Court of Appeal while trying to deceive the public that justice has been served.

The cops on trial are now openly hinting, just like Razak Baginda (in his case, a sworn statutory declaration) that they are mere fall guys.

Thus in order to keep their mouth shut they will be acquitted. After all, they have enough grounds to do so since they should have not been found guilty in the first place as motive was never established.

Ferdtan: Do we expect the appeal verdict's result to be a mistrial? Or to make the drama interesting and realistic, let the cliff-hanger to be continued to the third sequel - the Federal Court.

Whatever it is, the public perception is not good. The believability and the trust of the courts and the BN government are at an all-time low. Nothing can and will change this perception until we see the end of Umno-BN regime.

Re-trial, then double jeopardy for Razak Baginda. What a mess!

Ez24get: There are so much deficiencies in the first trial that subsequent trials can find fault with.

It would appear the game plan is to get the two officers guilty at first to appease the public and then release them on account of mistrial on the deliberate deficiencies of the first trial.

Haveagreatday: The final injustice is soon to be administered. The man in the street has long since seen the flaw in the lack of motive for these two alleged killers to pull the trigger. So, now common intention looks like a fatal flaw in the original judgment.

Odin: Judge Mohd Zaki Md Yasin did not address other issues as well, no? The case really has to be heard all over again, and presided over by an impartial judge, if you please.

'No Najib link to Altantuya's murder'

I wonder how can Abdul Majid deduce the above fact, unless Razak Baginda and Musa, and not to mention Najib, are all put on the stand. This is like saying 2 + 2 = 10.

The High Court trial has evoked more questions than answers and it looks like the attorney-general's team is scraping the bottom of the barrel to keep the real culprits at bay.

2LAN: Musa was Najib's ADC and Razak Baginda was Najib's friend. Who ordered Musa to assist Razak Baginda? Who could have ordered the murder?

Quigonbond: Nothing to link them you say? What about DPM's text to Razak Baginda saying everything will be okay? How about the fact that immigration records of Altantuya were erased?

What about DPM's position as defence minister at that time and the police already said they don't stock C4 plastic explosive at Bukit Aman police headquarters?

Just because someone tells you (and people do it all the time for one reason or another) that they are solely responsible, you don't earn your salary until to poke some holes into the credibility of that claim. In the end, the story just doesn't jive.

CQ Muar: It's clear as daylight as to who and why Altantuya ended the way she did. Nobody kills or murder without a motive.

Anyone in his right mind will not resort to a heinous crime of such magnitude, and the nature of the fate that resulted in such death with explosives under custody of high authority, like the Defence Ministry.

In a nutshell, the whole episode is obvious, regardless how the defence and prosecution presented it. The bottom line is: Let justice and conscience be the guiding instrument and criteria in order to establish the kind of justice we advocate and pride ourselves in.

True justice must prevail under any circumstances if we are to live guiltless the rest of our lives, and leave to our kin and family when our days are over in this world.

Police reports have been lodged pertaining to SD1 and SD2. Are these to be ignored? The witnesses are all available. Yet it looks like this ‘sandiwara' is heading towards the direction we all know will go.

Geronimo: Alleged murderer Azilah Hadri's motive to kill Altantuya must still be established. No one can go around killing people for no rhyme or reason.

If this is the case, than Azilah must be insane and as such, he is not fit to stand trial. Perhaps I smell a mistrial in the offing, with Azilah being set free?
