If they are opposition supporters, so what? They can express anything they want online, as long as they do not do it in the classrooms or during office hours.

The officers who came out with this idea of tracking teachers' activities are real donkeys.

CiViC: But BN politicians talk about politics anywhere and everywhere they have the chance, even at schools, colleges and universities.

Ong: Johor Education Department director Mohd Nor Ghani was quoted to have instructed that "educators should not post any anti-government material to avoid influencing their students".

It appears that it is okay to post pro-government material.

Fair&Just: When did the Education Ministry ever refrain from talking politics? There were allegations that even at education seminars, pro-BN propaganda was being disseminated prior to the GE.

Now they are saying no to politics when the rakyat, even teachers, are aware of their crimes, the corruption, oppression and discrimination perpetrated by the regime. Retribution shall be upon those liars, spinners and cheats.

Responsible Malaysian: He wants teachers to take any rubbish given by the BN government without any query at all.

What about setting up classes in schools with robots or machines instead, so that any rubbish poured into the classes will be fully accepted by these machines?

Stupid politicians will not contribute any good ideas to the education system. It is heart-breaking to see that our beloved children, especially poor Malay children, being forced to accept such an education system.

My4Hope: Is the Education Department spying on the teachers? What a mockery to education itself.

Students could only be downgraded and jeopardised by these incompetent, pea-headed and narrow-minded people in the Education Department.

Mick: Why restrict this to Johor, why not Selangor? It seems there are teachers and headmasters getting involved in politics against the state government there - this applies to one secondary school in Klang.

Iiiizzzziiii: The government has so much fear about losing its grip on power. But nothing is permanent. You have your ups and downs.

The government cannot compel people to perceive things according to their point of view. To be able to do that simply means this is a nation of mindless people.

Yes, the government can implement policies that are restrictive but it cannot change and influence what is within a person.

And what is within you is free will to choose and decide what you think is good or most appropriate for you. Of course, this means a person must also take responsibility for it.

The harder the government holds onto its grip on power, the more painful will be the fall. So, what else is new in this era of political awakening? Perhaps, those in power have failed to understand that change is part and parcel of history in the making.

EvenSteven: Weren't Johor teachers told before GE13 that they were obligated to vote for the government of the day as they were civil servants?

So much for Malaysia being the best democracy in the world as boasted by our PM.

MACC plays down Taib's 'naughty, dishonest' remark

Jagara: MACC assistant commissioner Lim Bee Kean, how can you make this outrageous statement that the remark by Taib on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) being "naughty" is a non-issue just because the Sarawak CM has denied making the statement?

This is silly. As you know, anybody can deny saying something, but is the denial true? The recording of that statement by Taib is there for the whole world, including MACC, to see. So how can you turn a blind ear to it?

Has MACC no self-respect, pride or dignity? Is it impotent to reprimand Taib for making such a statement against the MACC? This is why MACC has no standing in the eyes of Malaysians.

Factnot Fiction: Who is lying now? MACC or the recorded report? The answer is obvious, so do we hope the truth can be revealed? Dream on.

Vijay47: I presume that Taib Mahmud, Sarawak chief minister of 32 years standing, would have also stated that he had not indulged in any dishonesty, corruption, or abuse of power during his years in office.

Perhaps this should be sufficient grounds for the entire case to be dropped.

Doc: I'm very confident that MACC will leave no stone unturned until they find Taib free of corruption.
