Local actor Khaeryll Benjamin Ibrahim or ‘Benjy’, who has a previous conviction for drug possession, was charged at the Ampang magistrate’s court in Kuala Lumpur today, with a similar offence.

Benjy, 34, together with Zain Amir Zainal Khairi, 37, Imran Radzi Ibrahim, 32, married couple Asmanizam Mohamed Akhir, 32, and Norazila Arzami, 27, and Afifi Hamidi, 27, allegedly committed the offence involving 4.7g of methamphetamine at No: C-2-2 Oakleaf Park Condo, Blok C, Persiaran Bukit Jaya, Taman Bukit Jaya in Hulu Kelang, Ampang at 11.30am, on June 26.

Asmanizam, Zain Amir and Imran Radzi are traders while Afifi is involved in the construction business.

Zain Amir pleaded guilty to the offence while Benjy and the rest claimed trial.

Magistrate Ayuni Izzaty Sulaiman set bail at RM3,800 with one surety each for the accused, and fixed Aug 26 for mention.

On Aug 17, 2011, Benjy was fined RM5,000 for possession of drugs, while on Aug 18, 2010, he was acquitted of a charge of using drugs.
