Deputy chief Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Aziz said PAS youth nationwide had been ordered to converge on Kuala Besut during the first half of Ramadan to help the the party candidate.
"Focus will be on the youths in Kuala Besut. We believe that our motto 16-16 will provide a new dimension to politics in this country," he said.
He was speaking at a talk on the glory of Ramadan in the compound of Masjid Jamek Pengadang Baru in Kuala Terengganu today.
The panel comprises PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, Terengganu PAS youth chief Mohd Nor Hamzah and Nik Mohamad Abduh.
Nomination day for Kuala Besut by-election had been fixed for July 12 with polling day on July 24.
The Kuala Besut seat is vacant after its incumbent A Rahman Mokhtar died of lung cancer.
In the recent 13th general election, Rahman defeated Napisah Ismail from PAS with a 2,434-vote majority.
