The National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) is mulling another lawsuit against PKR director of strategy Rafizi Ramli after filing an RM300 million suit against him last year.
The National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) is mulling another lawsuit against PKR director of strategy Rafizi Ramli after filing an RM300 million suit against him last year.
This time, NFC is upset with Rafizi's claim that the government may stand to lose up to RM163 million of its soft loan if any company taking over the NFC does not acquire its liabilities as well.
"The amount of the lawsuit will be decided later. We leave it to our lawyers," NFC chairperson Mohamad Salleh Ismail is quoted as saying in Berita Harian today.
The daily also quoted NFC lawyer Wan Shahrizal Wan Ladin as saying that the company was also mulling lawsuits against The Malaysian Insider and Free Malaysia Today over reports on the same matter.
On July 4 last year, NFC demanded RM300 million from Rafizi, who is also the MP for Pandan, and RM200 million from Malaysiakini over what it claimed was a defamatory report on the purchase of properties by the company.
