MIC deputy president S Subramaniam today said that he remains undecided as to whether he would contest the MIC presidential election even though nominations are only two weeks away.
"I haven't decided. When I decide I will let you know," he told reporters when met after launching a Tamil-language herbal medicine book in Kuala Lumpur.
Keeping his cards close to his chest, Subramaniam refused to explain why he has yet to make up his mind, stressing that it was a secret.
Nominations for the presidential election is on Sept 1 while the election will take place on Sept 22.
Subramaniam also urged fellow party members to stop releasing statements criticising each other through the media.
"I don't think it's healthy. This makes for a bitter experience for all involved," he said.
"Also, people can get irritated reading these things."
