Puteri Umno chief Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin is offering herself for a Wanita Umno executive council (exco) seat at the party's polls in October in wanting to continue serving the party.

Rosnah, who is also deputy works minister, said she arrived at the decision after considering various factors and her desire to serve the party in a new role.  

"Based on my experience as head of Sabah Puteri Umno and Puteri Umno, I am confident I can contribute a lot to Wanita Umno specifically and Umno in general she said in a statement in Kota Kinabalu today.

Rosnah has to give up her Puteri Umno chief's post as she has exceeded the age limit for officer bearers in the wing.
