Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's new nation-building slogan ‘Endless Possibilities’ has ironically a Mongolian connection to it, DAP's parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang said today.

Lim noted that a promotional video titled ‘Mongolia: Endless Possibilities’ was uploaded on Youtube in February 2012, almost a year before Putrajaya started publicising its new slogan.

Mongolia endless possibilities "The Mongolian knot of Najib's new national branding is equally, if not more, embarrassing than the Israeli knot," Lim said in a statement today.

Lim was referring to a previous rumour that ‘Endless Possibilities’ was also lifted from an Israeli campaign idea, which prompted the Prime Minister's Office to clarify that although the official launch is not due until three weeks from now, Putrajaya’s campaign started in January before Israel’s.

To compound the irony, the two Special Action Unit officers, chief inspector Azilah Hadri and corporal Sirul Azhar Umar earlier found guilty of murdering Mongolian national Altantuya Shariibuu in Shah Alam in October 2006, were just yesterday acquitted by the Court of Appeal.

NONE Altantuya's murder and her role in the purchase of the controversial French Scorpene submarines - a deal that Najib was carried out during his tenure as Defence Minister in 2005 - has consistently been questioned by civil society,

Lim said that with the Israeli and Mongolian connections to the slogan now under fire, Najib might have to consider aborting the launch of the slogan, which is said to be a complement to the 1Malaysia slogan.

The 1Malaysia slogan cooked up by Najib’s administration also drew similarities with a campaign called 1Israel which was used in Israel previously.
