Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor took his oath of office today as a senator for the second term.

He was sworn in before Dewan Negara president Abu Zahar Ujang at Parliament House.  

Mohamad Ezam, 46, who hails from Klang, Selangor, was first sworn in as a senator on May 3, 2010. He is a former chief of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Youth.  

The senator, who holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia, left PKR and returned to Umno in 2008.

He was the political secretary of PKR adviser Anwar Ibrahim when the latter was serving as the finance minister while in Umno.
