Two residential and a business premises in Taman Seri Pantai, Taman Uda and Jalan Seberang Perak in Alor Setar were sealed for failure to settle outstanding assessment rates despite warnings.

Alor Star City Council accountant Azalina Abd Rahman said today the residential and business premises had outstanding dues of about RM9,000.

“The decision to seal was made after we sent notices of outstanding assessment rates last month but they ignored them and did not cooperate in the matter,” she told reporters.

Azalina said the operation against owners of residential and business premises who had yet to settle their outstanding dues started last month.
