Snatch victim dies after being rammed by do-gooder

According to The Star , the incident occurred after two men tried to rob Shahrinawati Abu Bakar, 30, in front of her apartment building at Taman Cempaka, Ampang Jaya at 2.45 am yesterday.
“Two men who were passing by in a Proton Wira car noticed the attack.
“The driver reversed the car at high speed and rammed into the suspects, but he also hit Shahrinawati,” Ampang Jaya police district chief Amiruddin Jamaluddin was quoted as saying.
He said the suspects, however, were able to get up and escape on a motorcycle while the victim was then rushed to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur.
“Unfortunately, Shahrinawati was pronounced dead at 3am,” he said.
Police have urged all eye-witnesses to contact their nearest police station with information.
The daily also reported that the victim was engaged and had planned to get married in December.
