Husam and Kickdefella reach consent settlement over lawsuit
PAS vice-president Husam Musa and blogger Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz, better known as Kickdefella, have reached a consent settlement over a defamation suit filed against the latter.
PAS vice-president Husam Musa and blogger Syed Azidi Syed Abdul Aziz, better known as Kickdefella, have reached a consent settlement over a defamation suit filed against the latter.
The settlement was recorded by Judicial Commissioner Lee Heng Cheong when the case was brought before him today.
Based on the terms of the settlement, Syed Azidi (
left
) has to publish an apology in
Sinar Harian
and the
Kickdefella
blog in 14 days’ time.
Syed Azidi should express regret over the publication of an article in the newspaper on July 25, 2012, and apologise for any confusion caused.
No costs were fixed and both men were present in court.
Husam filed a RM5 million defamation suit against Syed Azidi on Feb 21 over his article, in relation to the Bazaar Tok Guru.
Husam was represented by counsel Noorazmir Zakaria, and Syed Azidi, by Jahaberdeen Mohd Yunos.
