Teachers who are unhappy about the implementation of the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025 should not criticise it openly but must use the right channels, said Deputy Education Minister Idris Jusoh.

He said it was not apt for teachers to openly criticise the plan because it was formulated in an inclusive manner to boost national education to a global level.

"You can criticise if you want to, but tell me. I am open," he told reporters after opening a seminar on the blueprint in Kota Bharu today.

As such, he said all state education departments must monitor those teachers who criticised the plan openly.

He said there were weaknesses in the plan but they could be corrected if the problems were channelled to him.

"I am open if there are weaknesses in the implementation of the plan. They can send e-mails to me. Nothing needs to be covered up in this matter," he said.

Idris also rapped the action of a pro-opposition news portal which allegedly distorted his statement on the national education system recently.

He said what he meant was that the people nowadays had a choice if they wanted to study abroad depending on their own capability.

The portal had allegedly reported him as saying that parents not happy with the education system in the country could send their children abroad for studies.
