Ka Siong's criticism is too little, too late
YOURSAY Has Wee Ka Siong forgotten? Everything belongs to Umno
'The GLCs do belong to the bumiputeras. Who are you to tell the unpopular 'PM of the Malays' otherwise?'
MCA to PM: GLCs don't belong to just one race
Tera Merah: MCA Youth chief Wee Ka Siong, GLCs do belong to the bumiputeras. Who are you to tell this unpopular 'PM of the Malays' otherwise? He may soon make a rule to say that the Chinese and the Indians should only do business with the bumiputeras.
We are not joking. It is an era of endless possibilities. Just get out of BN and you will see GLCs belonging to all of us. For the North Borneo regions of Sabah and Sarawak, it is the same - get out from the formation of Malaysia.
Then you can see Malaya gasping for breath like a fish out of the water. Najib Razak is seen to be ill-treating the non-Malays. This country is doomed.
The Rover: Why is it that only MCA Youth is making statements like these? Why is there no whimper from the party president? Nothing from other leaders like Ng Yen Yen? They are all a bunch of self-seeking hypocrites
Titleist: It's policies like this new bumi empowerment plan that makes rational people angry. Where are the voices of the presidents of MCA, MIC and SUPP? Their silence is deafening.
HC: Both the MCA and MIC have been instrumental in condoning years of abuse by Umno to a point where paralysis has set in. These groups crossed that line when they chose to neither object nor act against overwhelmingly pro-bumi policies at the detriment of other disadvantaged non-bumis.
Wee's statements are too little done too late. We need a new government.
Onyourtoes: I say man, where did Wee and MCA find their new found courage and knowledge? Hello, it is not just the GLCs that were funded by all taxpayers. The whole civil service, the judiciary, the Syariah courts, the MACC, the police, the armed forces, public universities including UiTM, Jakim, all state religion departments, and statutory bodies like Income Tax, Bank Negara and Security Commission are all similarly funded by the taxpayers.
Ksn: MCA, what you said is the truth about GLCs belonging to taxpayers, and involves public funds. It's the same thing with the civil service. Why did MCA leaders not speak when the discrimination started long ago, and felt by the man on the streets?
Why did you all play dumb then, with you MCA and MIC behaving worse than slaves so that now the damage is beyond correction? That attitude of yours has given Najib and the Umno Baru leaders the audacity to abuse public funds just for the benefit of one race and themselves.
Hence this new special rights plan announced by Najib. Those in public life, politicians like you must have some backbone so that you do not betray the people who supported you to be in the government. What were you fellows there for?
Think about it man. You have spoken up too late as Umno could not care less about the Chinese and other non-bumis. They want everything for themselves, and you cannot do a damn thing about it, can you?
Some Umno leaders will to tell you to migrate if you do not like it, or accept whatever they do, however cruel it is.
Anonymous_3e06: The PM has stopped listening to moderate voices. He has only one plan to win the Umno election. Nothing matters to him right now whether it is 1Malaysia or 5Malaysia. Slogans are a means for power and self glorification.
Hearty Malaysian: Najib is panicky once again and needs to beef up his support within Umno as substantial populations of Malays voted against BN this time. This weak leader has to show to his cronies he can throw money at the problems; knowing though this is not a long term solution.
His deputy Muhyiddin Yassin is riding the wave as heros among the BN Malays, while those Malays may feel they missed the gravy train of the Umnoputras. There is no need to be apologetic to the non-Malay BN parties and supporters.
But do you have the guts to stand up and prepare to leave BN for good?
True Colors: MCA....you guys are being treated like dirt in BN. Please do the honourable thing, leave BN immediately.
Wira: MCA, Gerakan and MIC, do Malaysia and natural justice a favour. Quit BN.
Bumiborn: MCA, Gerakan, MIC, SUPP should just quit BN immediately to counter the racist Umno Baru. Send a clear message that all the GLCs and government departments that they are funded by all races' tax money, especially the non-bumi. So how can these be meant for bumi only?
Mano: Wee, show your sincerity and integrity and get out of BN - there is no need for sandiwara ala BN. Is your protest just another good cop, bad cop story from BN?
Anonymous #02382443: Wow, you finally woke up, Wee. If only you group of selfish lot had been doing what you should have been doing, and stood up against them, your party would not have been in the dilemma it is today.
Cantabrigian: We have a seasonal prime minister, who keeps on changing for his own personal survival rather than the rakyat's. Before GE13, he was a PM for all. Now that the Umno general assembly is approaching, he puts on his Melayu cap and speaks using Umno language, i.e. ketuanan Melayu, contracts and the 13 May 13, 1969 blame game.
Anonymous #70881335: Why can't we have policies for all Malaysians? The poor and the underprivileged of all racial groups need assistance. Aiding just one group risks racial polarisation, and worse, causes hatred and disunity.
To date, such policies have failed to achieve what it had originally set out to do. As Albert Eienstein once said, doing the same things and expecting different results is stupidity.
Iiiizzzziiii: A failed government is a failed government, period. The new policies to be introduced are a reflection of that, and with the new bumiputera empowerment whatever you want to call it, it seems to strengthen this perception.
When you have to compete globally, do you expect other nations will accord you the same privileges just because you are a bumiputera?
Two generations have been destroyed because of this bumi thing, and the PM has just condemned another generation to the same fate. Is this what the struggle is all about? You most welcome to this struggle forever.
