Two men were fined RM700 and RM7,000, respectively, by the magistrate’s court in Klang today for wrongfully restraining and smashing the glass window of a bus at Pandamaran on May 5, the polling day for the 13th general election (GE13).

Magistrate Mohd Fadhly Yaacob fined Gew Chen Hsiang, a mobile phone salesman, RM700, in default a month's jail, and air-conditioner technician Chua Kian Boon, RM7,000, in default 24 months jail.

He handed down the sentence after Gew, 32, and Chua, 21, changed their not guilty plea to guilty.

Gew was charged with four others still at large with wrongfully restraining a Wawasan Sutera T&T Sdn Bhd bus with 23 passengers on board at Jalan Sijangkang, Pandamaran, at about 3.45pm last May 5.
